I have built a career working closely with clients in and outside of the boardroom to navigate the online world and bring objectivity into the boardroom.
Worked with as an advisor at:
Every client begins with a lack of clarity. No matter the goals, aims, or position of the business, a lack of clarity is dangerous. It means risks go uncalculated, decisions can be hasty, and there is no clear focus or understanding of where you will be in the short and long-term future.
Whether I'm working 1-1 or on a larger basis with a client, we will always look at the whys and whats of decisions made, and how they've impacted the business. What were these motives? And most importantly, do they have a place in the present and future - or do we need to look at making any changes?
The present may feel as though it's ever-changing, but that just makes keeping up more important than ever. I have witnessed time and time again, businesses so focused on the past, that they forget about the world we're living in today.
This is almost certain to mis-direct the focus and goals of the business. Which is why having an independent voice in the boardroom is so important, and ensuring that individual has the foresight and understanding to recognize what decisions need to made now, that will have a positive impact on the future.
